Join us for a 2-day workshop where you will have the opportunity to delve into the world of portrait painting using oil paints. This course is designed with both beginners and experienced artists in mind, offering a comprehensive exploration of form, proportion, and colour.
Over the two days you will explore painting techniques to record your observations of the human head.
Working directly from the model, on day one, you will create an underpainting focusing on form and proportion and, on day two, you will over paint with a focus on mixing flesh tones and creating a limited colour palette to paint with. You will be working with oil paints.
