If you have done a beginners jewellery class or would like to build your confidence with making sterling silver jewellery, then this course is perfect for those who have some basic knowledge.

Week 1: Sawing - Mastering sawing by spending the session cutting out intricate designs in sheet metal. Here you will learn how to cut out designs and patterns with multiple elements without losing the whole image. This will help you to get comfortable with saw piercing and tidying up the design within.

Week 2: Doming - A technique that turns designs from being flat to 3D. Using a doming block and punches you will learn how to create curved designs that will also have details and designs soldered within using silver grain and sawn out sheet design.

Week 3: Soldering - Focusing on building confidence with your soldering and learning how to incorporate more techniques so that you can solder jump rings, earrings posts and findings onto your work . As well as how to solder chunky chain links.

Weeks 4 - 6: You will create your own design using the skills that you have learned. You will design and fabricate a 3 dimensional piece from start to finish. Ideas can range from a pendant with several intricate layers in mixed metal, or perhaps you can make a chain bracelet with a charm detail.
