Come for a playful and creative print day with Printmaker Steph Renshaw. The day with cover botanical printmaking in the morning progressing to abstract monoprinting in the afternoon.

Botanical Printmaking

You will be printing directly from pressed botanicals such as leaves and flowers to capture their beautiful forms and intricate details in this relaxing and fun workshop, no drawing skills or previous print experience is necessary. You will be guided through the process step-by-step and produce your own collection of gorgeous prints to take home. Everything you need to make your prints will be provided - you don’t need to prepare or bring anything with you. However, if you want to make more personal work, you are very welcome to bring along your own pressed flowers/leaves to print from. Pressed leaves/flowers must be very thin in order to print with, so remove any thick stalks. If you’re not sure, bring them along and Steph will help you determine whether they’ll work.

Abstract Monoprinting

Following on from the morning you will continue to make monoprints but using a range of experimental materials to play with abstract forms and textures Steph will show you how to layer your prints so that your finished pieces are bursting with life and colour
