Join fashion textile designer Jocasta Bullock in this day workshop to learn how to design a repeated pattern by hand.

Passementerie weaving is the art of making elaborate trimmings or edgings for furnishings using cords. In this beginner friendly workshop, you will add a modern twist to a heritage craft by creating bracelets using traditional passementerie weaving techniques.

Starting right from the basics, with simple techniques, you will be weaving like a pro in no time at all. You will be guided through selecting a colour palette, warping up your loom, weaving and manipulating passementerie cords to create rich and flowing forms for your bracelet. Once you’ve mastered weaving your bracelet in the session you will have all the skills to make woven accessories for friends and family too – they make lovely handmade gifts.
