Craft yourself a timely and historical cat decoration with tutor Emma Roch in this enchanting workshop.

Black cats have a bad reputation. From Cath Sith of the Celtic festival Samhain to Grimalkin (who runs with the Witches in Macbeth) to Jiji in Kiki’s Delivery Service, black cats have been entwined with Halloween and witches for centuries. Come and make you own black cat decorations, purrfest for any Halloween party.

Join us for a morning or afternoon of creativity and fun, as we dive into the magical world of shadow puppetry and Halloween decorations!

You will be guided through the process of designing, cutting, and assembling your unique make. Using a range of templates available, you can create your own shadow puppet or window decoration. You will leave with a decorated black cat shadow puppet ready to be used for the joys of storytelling or a decoration to set the scene in a spooky window.

Suitable for all the family - this is a drop-in event, we kindly ask that children are supervised during the workshop

This event is part of Cirencester History Festival
