Tutor Clare Walsh
Clare is a designer, maker, textile enthusiast and tutor living in the Cotswolds. Combining her experience of teaching with a love of printed textiles Clare delivers a variety of workshops throughout the area using a varied collection of beautifully carved Indian woodblocks and teaching botanical printing using screen printing and dye sublimation.
Recent trips to India and a growing collection of old printing blocks have been at the centre of block printing workshops, but the use of the heat press add a new dimension to her printed textile work. Clare has exhibited her Textile work within Art Societies and galleries in the UK and shared her enthusiasm for Textiles as a teacher to all age groups for many years.
She has a passion for colour and texture, her work is inspired by the gardens, trees and landscape of the area. She uses local plants, leaves, flowers and herbs to print with using dye sublimation and screen printing, these techniques enable Clare to produce vibrant and unique designs. The unique prints are used to make one off designs for garments, accessories and interiors.
