Join ceramic artist, Rhi Jarman to design, create and decorate your own porcelain jewellery.

n this workshop, Rhi will demonstrate a variety of techniques and approaches for you to design, make and decorate a range of porcelain beads and pendants.

You will begin by making different shaped beads to get a feel for the porcelain, which transforms into fine, beautiful jewellery for daily use. Rhi will then support you to design and create pendants using a choice of sprig (press) moulds, flat templated designs or 3D hand-sculpture (or a combination). There will be a variety of decorating options including painting, carving, and texturising with different tools, plus the opportunity to add colour with oxides and underglaze.

Your finished work will be glazed (if requested) and stoneware fired following the class for you to collect and transform into jewellery such as necklaces and earrings. Some eye pins and jump rings to fasten jewellery will be provided, but chains/earring hooks are not.
