This is all you need for your daily cuppa each morning, a huggable mug that gives as much back. The ergonomic shape is a considered piece of design with tactile smooth matt surface and uninterrupted curvaceous shape, it’s peachy to hold so treat yourself to a quiet moment with your cuppa, or share and buy a pair!
This is our Mr & Mrs Mug as the range was designed by Sue Pryke and her husband from Wild + Wood. Individually slipcast from a coloured porcelain body and polished to give a smooth pebbly finish on the outside & glazed inside. As each piece is individually made there will be slight changes in each piece and slight colour variations, which is indicative of the material and the hand made processes.

Thanks to her role as judge in The Great Pottery Throw Down on BBC television, Sue Pryke has become a household name. When not judging other makers, her own work is inspired by the everyday and the ordinary. The result is Sue’s understated, functional and elegant range of tableware which achieves that elusive quality of fitting in perfectly.
Her process is a hand-made version of the slip-casting techniques Sue experienced while a Shape Designer at Wedgwood. Sue slip-casts liquid porcelain clay - pouring liquid clay into plaster moulds – ensuring a consistency of size and shape. Once out of the mould, each piece is trimmed and sponged by hand to create an immaculate surface. Her fascination with the material qualities, textures and interaction comes through in every piece.
